Headquartered in Tripoli, Libya, with branches in Benghazi and Misurata, the Libyan Group for Oil and Energy Services (LIGOS) was established in 2012 with a clear ambition to be a leading provider in the oil and energy services sector.

Mission
As Libya gets ready to recuperate and increase its production of oil and gas, it requires a great deal of engineering, procurement, and construction services to update its existing facilities and build new facilities further on. LIGOS aspires to be a part of that recuperation and expansion by providing such services to national and international Oil & Gas companies, as well as setting an example for the sound and fruitful cooperation between Libyan and international oil and gas technology and service providers.

Future Projects
A key strategic priority is the development of LIGOS’s main future project — the refinery — which represents a foundational step in strengthening our position within the energy sector. Focus will also be put to manufacture Petrochemical products and oil industries. LIGOS aims to venture into the diversification of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal power. We plan to focus on the development, operation, and maintenance of renewable energy projects to support the transition toward green energy.
LIGOS will also be working on implementing energy efficiency measures across our operations to minimize energy consumption and improve overall performance in the near future. In parallel, LIGOS has been taking steady steps to incorporate sustainability criteria into its supply chain, including responsible sourcing of materials, minimizing waste, and promoting sustainable practices among suppliers and contractors.
