EPIC for RO Water Desalination- Tobruk & Jagbob

LIGOS completed six EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation, and Commissioning) projects for the Ministry of Water Resources, encompassing the detailed engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of reverse osmosis (RO) desalination plants with a design capacity of 2,000 cubic meters per day per plant in the cities of Tobruk and Jagbob. The scope of work covered full system integration, including pretreatment units, high-pressure pumping systems, RO membrane assemblies, instrumentation, and control systems.
Each desalination plant was specifically engineered based on the physicochemical characteristics of the source water at its respective location, allowing for optimized process design, reliable membrane performance, and stable full-capacity operation. This tailored approach ensured enhanced energy efficiency, reduced fouling risks, and lower long-term operation and maintenance costs, while meeting the required water quality and production standards.
